Hayward Exhibit open

The Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center, located on the eastern approach to the San Mateo Bridge, invited me to mount a display of salt pond images. This was a fun project as I was able to assemble a set of 45 fairly recent photographs for the display, all taken within a two-mile radius of the center. The exhibit – A Kite’s View: Intimate Aerials of Eden Landing – went up this weekend and will be on display until 8 May, 2011.

KAP Exhibit (lights off)

Here is a view of the exhibit (albeit with lights off). The center’s display space is actually quite nice and the staff most helpful and friendly. I have posted a PDF version of my Artist’s Statement. If you are thereabouts stop by to take a look. Best to check first to see if the Center is open as operating hours are mostly limited to the weekends.
