Fresh air
CrisIt has been a fabulous week in San Francisco for atmospheric clarity. All week I have been able to lookout of my campus window in Berkeley and discern individual trees on the Marin Peninsula. The clear air was evident on Sunday’s outing too as shown in this image taken of a shorebird from the west anchorage of the Dumbarton Bridge. That is San Francisco standing out in the background a good 26 miles to the northwest. The hill behind the Transamerica Tower is the Tiburon Penisula some 35 miles away.
